Kate Barasz holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, and a B.A. in Economics and Public Policy Studies from Duke University. Prior to her academic career, she worked as a consultant in Bain & Company's Boston and Atlanta offices. Before joining Esade she was on the faculty at Harvard Business School and IESE Business School.
Her research focuses on consumer decision-making, with a particular interest in how we make sense of other people’s choices. Her work has been published in academic journals including Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, and Journal of Experimental Psychology: General. She was named a “40 Best Business Professors Under 40” by Poets and Quants in 2018.
