Oriol Cremades Chueca graduated in Economics and Law from Pompeu Fabra University. He has a Ll. M. in Professional Legal Practice from IDEC-Pompeu Fabra University (IDEC-UPF) and a Master in Labour and Social Security Law from UPF Barcelona School of Management (BSM-UPF). He has experience as a labour lawyer in a renowned law firm.
He is currently a predoctoral researcher at Esade Law School and he also lectures at ESERP Business & Law School. His doctoral thesis – which will be defended shortly (September 2020) – is about the identification and legal foundations of labour liabilities in groups of companies in Spain.
His main lines of research include firm/enterprise fragmentation (network of firms/enterprises and groups of companies) and labour law; the concept of the employer; and the impact of new technologies on the employment contract. In his studies, he frequently uses the methodology of economic analysis of law and comparative law. He has published chapters and papers in scientific journals, has participated in research projects and lectures in labour law.
