Bilgehan Uzunca

Associate Professor, Department of Strategy and General Management at Esade

Bilgehan Uzunca is Associate Professor of strategic management in the Department of Strategy and General Managemen. Previously he worked as an Assistant Professor in Utrecht University School of Economics. He finished his PhD in Strategic Management at IESE Business School. He earned a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and holds an MBA degree from Middle East Technical University (METU).

His research interests have centered on strategic management, technology and innovation, and entrepreneurship with a focus on industry evolution, submarkets, entry deterrence, ecosystem/platform governance, and sharing economy. His work has been published in leading management journals, such as Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, and Academy of Management Discoveries. He regularly attends leading conferences in field such as Academy of Management (AoM) Annual Meeting, Strategic Management Society (SMS) Annual Meeting, and Druid Conference.
