Irene Unceta is an Associate Professor in the Department of Data, Analytics, Technology and Artificial Intelligence (DATA) at Esade and Academic Director of the dual degree Bachelor in Business Administration and Bachelor in Business and Artificial Intelligence (DBAI). She holds a degree in Physics from the University of Barcelona and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Amsterdam. She earned her PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Barcelona, completing her industrial doctoral research project at BBVA Data & Analytics.

She is a researcher at the Esade D3 Institute. Her research focuses on the impact of artificial intelligence–based systems on individuals and their rights.
