Ivan Bofarull is Chief Innovation Officer at Esade, where he also teaches and designs disruptive innovation programmes for corporate clients. In the last few years, he has also taught moonshot innovations to both established companies and startup founders in Silicon Valley, in collaboration with Singularity University. During the last four years, he has also collaborated with elBulli Foundation co-leading Esade’s Challenge for Business Innovation.
From 2011 to 2016, he was an advisor for global strategy at Georgetown University’s business school, in a full-time position first, and later on as a visiting advisor. Bofarull is a frequent speaker about disruptive innovations, moonshot innovations and future of education, both at company meetings and global events (Mobile World Congress – 4YFN, World Open Innovation conference, TEDx, Lego Education, MIT Solve, DayOne Innovation Summit, among others). His first book, Moonshot thinking: the 12 habits to transform disruption into opportunity, published in 2020, offers a new methodology to navigate disruptive innovations.
