Joren Gijsbrechts

Assistant Professor, Department of Operations, Innovation and Data Sciences at Esade

Joren holds a PhD in operations management from KU Leuven in Belgium. Prior to obtaining his doctorate he attained business experience in the supply chain and operations division of Procter & Gamble in Sweden. His research focuses on data-driven decision making in operations management, with a particular interest in the recent advancements in machine learning and prescriptive analytics. Currently, he is working on combining machine learning, (robust) optimization, and large-scale simulation techniques to develop data-driven algorithms.
