Luciana Lucena de Lima, PhD, is a Senior Research Fellow at the Esade Global Business Family Initiative. She teaches courses on family business and governance. With two decades of experience as a private banker at institutions such as UBS and Citibank, she works with families to design governance structures that support wealth preservation and continuity across generations. She also serves as a founder, advisor, and board member for family businesses, fintech companies, and nonprofit organizations. Luciana holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University and a PhD from the University of St. Gallen.
