Mar Cordobés is a researcher at the Esade Institute for Social Innovation and a strategic consultant specializing in social innovation, third sector transformation, applied research, and evaluation. She holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Esade, a bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of Barcelona, and a master’s degree in Cultural Management from Pompeu Fabra University.
She has more than 25 years of experience working with European institutions, foundations, NGOs, and public administrations on projects in research, evaluation, strategy, social innovation, cultural policy, and international cooperation. She is also an independent expert for the European Commission, where for more than a decade she has taken part in the evaluation of projects and programmes under Creative Europe, Horizon Europe, and Erasmus+.
Since 2018, she has been a researcher and lead author of the studies of the Esade-PwC Social Leadership Programme, which focus on the main transformation challenges facing civil society organizations. Her research addresses issues such as leadership, innovation and organizational transformation, talent and knowledge management, systemic change, multi-sector collaboration, and trust and legitimacy. Her current work focuses particularly on how civil society organizations can develop new capacities for innovation and experimentation in order to respond to increasingly complex environments and multiply their social impact.
