Mireia Yter holds a PhD in Sociology and is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair for Socially Responsible Digital Innovation at Esade's Institute for Social Innovation, as well as a member of the GRIIS research group. Her work examines unwanted loneliness among young people and its intersections with the digital sphere. She focuses on AI-mediated interactions, youth lived experience, and the evolving dynamics of belonging and social trusttrust paying special attention to how economic logics, including the emerging attachment economy, shape these processes. In parallel, she has also conducted research on the digitalization of food banks and the broader social impacts of technological transformation.
