Natalia Garrido Skurkowicz is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Esade Institute for Social Innovation and Academic Collaborator at the Department of Society, Politics and Sustainability. Her Ph.D. dissertation won the 2023 Award for Best Interdisciplinary Thesis from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. She holds a Licenciate degree in Sociology, and a Master's degree in Communication and Culture both from the University of Buenos Aires, and have been a visiting researcher at Universidade de São Paulo, Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, University of Deusto, and almost two years at the University of Groningen.

Her research lies at the intersection of governance, interorganizational networks and social inequalities, and addresses the challenges of social enterprises and the social economy, and regenerative agriculture. She has published in peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Social Entrepreneurship, and Applied Network Science.
