Ensuring children’s rights in the digital era is essential. We examine the limits of persuasive design, the regulatory challenges involved, and the commitment companies should assume to guarantee a safe environment.
In a digital context that evolves faster than its regulation, the question of where the limit lies is beginning to arise: to what extent do digital platforms infringe on the rights of minors? In this episode of Do Better Talks, Leanda Barrington-Leach —Executive Director of the 5Rights Foundation— reflects on the vulnerability of children in online spaces designed without an effective regulatory framework.
The conversation invites us to reconsider current realities from a critical and urgent perspective, with the aim of placing the protection of minors at the center of a responsible and respectful digital environment. Hosted by Liliana Arroyo, Director of the Chair for Socially Responsible Digital Innovation (SoReDi) and Professor in the Department of Society, Politics and Sustainability at Esade.
