Ariadna Dumitrescu is an associate professor of finance at Esade Business School. She holds a PhD in economics from IDEA, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and a BA in mathematics from the University of Bucharest.
Her research deals with the strategic behaviour of market participants and the role of information in investor decisions, and has applications in market microstructure, asset management, and sustainable finance. Her research results have been published in journals such as the Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, European Financial Management, Economics Letters and Journal of Financial Markets.
Her teaching portfolio includes financial markets and institutions, financial economics, corporate finance, financial modelling, and derivatives at undergraduate, master, and executive levels. She has collaborated with Citibank Romania, Banc Sabadell, and BBVA.
She was director of the Group of Research in Economics and Finance for the period 2008-2016, and a member of the board of directors of the European Financial Management Association, 2017-2020.
