Ángel Pascual-Ramsay is a lecturer at Esade Business School and the director of global risks at Esade's Center for Global Economy and Geopolitics (EsadeGeo). He has also been a non-resident senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. From 2008 to 2011, he served as an adviser to the Spanish Government, responsible for analysing global economic and geopolitical trends. Prior to that, he served as an adviser to the Spanish Minister of Public Administrations and he was a visiting fellow at the European Union Institute for Security Studies.
Before joining the civil service, Pascual-Ramsay worked for the business consulting firm, Accenture, in the company’s strategic consulting division in London and New York. He also served as the country consultant for Spain at The Economist Group and participated in numerous international economic work groups, including the Davos World Economic Forum and the OECD.
