Sergio Marín Zapata is currently a research assistant at the Esade Center for Global Economy and Geopolitics (EsadeGeo). His research interests include EU foreign policy, Central European authoritarianism, Arab political systems and minority rights.
Prior to joining Esade, he was an Assistant Lecturer in international relations at the University of Szeged (Hungary), where he was seconded by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has also worked at the European Parliament and the Union for the Mediterranean’s Secretariat. He carried out his studies in politics, international relations and European affairs at the University of York, Sciences Po Paris and the College of Europe.
